Perennial, 10 to 15 cm tall. Linear leaves, short flower-stems; yellow flowers, 4 to 4.5cm, hair-shaped tag outside. Flowering: May to June.
Tolerant to drought and poorness. Sinoendemic. Central to east Tibet, 3200 to 5300m, scree or barren. Gansu and Qinghai.
